Steve says Milwaukee is the “French Rivera of the Great Lakes”.
As many of you know, we were planning our wedding to be in Italy this summer. We went to Tuscany last summer, found a beautiful location overlooking a vineyard. However, at the 9th hour, plans changed, which if you know us, you know thats how we roll. Our dream house, in our dream neighborhood, next door to some of our favorite people came up for sale and we jumped. Literally jumped on a flight from Europe and flew to Vegas to buy a house.
This mean we had to leave our life in Mexico. Not an easy decision, but we knew this was the right direction for our future. Stability and a permanent address has not been in our DNA, but this changed all that. With the move from Mexico back to Las Vegas and the house purchase, we decided that an Italian wedding was not realistic. Maybe when we renew our vows down the road.
Now what? That’s when Steve suggested Milwaukee…. And here we are! Truth be told, it fits everything we wanted for a wedding. Milwaukee is a great place where Steve grew up and where Amy has loved since her first visit 11 years ago. It’s Valentina’s favorite vacation destination (yes, overall the other ones we’ve been to) and it’s a place with incredible people that really connects with us. Since we can not be in Italy, we found a little piece of villa life on the Milwaukee lake front (Lake Michigan).
We are honored to welcome you to Milwaukee. We hope you can feel a bit of that midwest spirit that runs deep through Steve, and that Amy and Valentina fell in love with.
Thank you for taking precious time from your schedules to attend our wedding. We hope you enjoy your time in one of our favorite places.
